Yes Dear is Getting a Face Lift
Posted on: September 28, 2009
So, what’s new for the 2009/2010 season? Well, let’s start with the exterior. New logo (seen left which will also be on No Dear, all of our promotional material and our uniforms), a new navy stack pack, navy rope bags and UV Strip on the Jib. Also new cloth covers for the cockpit cushions. And on the inside, well, where to start….New bedding, new cushions and new artwork. Some of you may know that my mom, Cathy Boyd had been commissioned to outfit Yes Dear with her original artwork (cathyboydfineart.com). All paintings will be scenes of the BVI and done in oil on canvas. Oh, and the galley is almost completely outfitted to make my life as easy as possible. The most recent additions are an ice-cream maker, a deep fryer and new pots and pans. I am not sure that after all of the hundreds of pounds of “toys” that David and Sarah have brought me down over the last year that I can possibly say there is much left I want for. As far as outside toys go, David and Sarah brought down a brand new Mambo as well as many different floaty toys when they came down in July so I think we are all set there. Oh and the new underwater lights are being installed. The brighter the lights the bigger the fish right???? Still need to purchase a new computer for the guests. We have arranged for a much faster and more reliable wi-fi system for internet this year so in terms of communications we should be “in touch”. I still think, however, that I am most excited to see Yes Dear with a good buffing. She is going to look brand new when she gets all shiny.
